Interested in becoming a volunteer? Please fill out the Volunteer Application to tell us about your interest, availability and commitment among other things! 

 

As a volunteer mentor, you will be paired with a mentee whom you will guide through the college application process. Throughout the experience, you will be trained on the different components of the college application process, including online application portals (e.g. Common app) and personal statement writing.

 

Throughout your involvement, you will be asked to report back on your mentoring experience. You may seek additional support and resources whenever necessary. As a volunteer, you will be utilizing virtual and physical avenues, such as Zoom and email, to maintain contact with your mentee.

We also offer additional non-mentorship volunteer opportunities. We partner with local organizations to aid and assist immigrant and refugee populations in Orlando. This includes food pantries, appreciation cards, adult literacy sessions, and more!

As a volunteer, you will also have the opportunity to participate in our advocacy- and activism-based outreach program to receive additional volunteer hours.

 

Serving as mentors, volunteers will receive volunteer hours, gain leadership experience, as well as support a good cause.
